About Erica.

I’ve had a love for photography since I was a little kid. I started shooting as a hobby in high school and college. Mostly I used it to document my family and friends. Then when my sweet boy came into this world in 2010, I knew I had to take photography further. I began to understand fully that time really does fly and this was my downhill slide to life. I wanted to capture the little moments and let time stand still as much as possible.

I am a dreamer. And the flexibility that this business has given me has been amazing. My real life is chaotic. Every day is different. Between kids, schools, and work, I'm thankful to make it to the end of each day. With that said, I understand nap times and snack times. I understand sick kids and messy outfits. I go with the flow and let the moments happen. Because after all, it's real life... and that's what I'm here to capture for you, your real life.

Erica is a photographer based out of Chester, South Carolina but willing to travel anywhere!

My personal life:

I am a mom to three great kids and a crazy aunt to six. I am a wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and a friend. I design, shoot, paint when I can and weld permanent jewelry. I grew up in Chapin, South Carolina on Lake Murray… which means I could float in the water all day, listen to country music until bedtime, and wear sunscreen as perfume. I have a love for Edisto Beach, salty air, and sandy toes. Sweet tea is my chosen beverage and chips are a must in the house. I am a graduate of Winthrop University with a BFA in Graphic Communications/Graphic Design. I designed for a fishing company (Pure Fishing) for several years before I realized I wanted something a little different. I'm a multi-tasker... I need to do laundry while I edit, grocery shop while I plan, and be creative when it hits. Let's face it... I'm an artist and a mom... I need all the time in the day I can get.

I started shooting photography with a talented photographer out of Charleston, Tomme Hilton Gallery, in 2010 and I ‘legally’ started my own business in 2014. It’s been such a blessing to watch so many of my grow in life, their families, their children… and to see the children I photograph grow up!

In 2023, I started a permanent jewelry business with a friend in Rock Hill, SC. Together we created Jo Lee + Co. It grew so much faster than we anticipated! However, I felt that photography needed more attention and we restructured. I am blessed to take on pop-up events in my area.

I am now serving pop-ups in Chester, Union, Chapin, Little Mountain, Newberry, Lexington… let’s face it… I love to travel… so really anywhere! Just ask!
